    The Business Analysis Foundation Programme (BAFP) is an entry-level qualification for graduates who want to start a career in Business Analysis. It blends core BA tools and techniques with the business and people skills employers expect - so learners can step into real projects with confidence.

    • IT and commerce graduates with little or no BA work experience.
    • Those aiming for roles in systems development, BI, process management, or test analysis.
    • Duration: 12 months part-time (depends on calendar and roll-out schedule).
    • Delivery: Virtual live learning, interactive sessions, group projects, and self-study.

    Assignments, presentations, tests, and a Portfolio of Evidence (PoE) toward the National Certificate: Business Analysis Support Practice.

    • A qualification with a business or computing major or one year’s business-related work experience.
    • Strong computer and communication literacy (NQF 4+).
    • Application and pre-assessment to determine eligibility.

    • Building a compelling business case and documenting requirements.

    Interacting in a Business Environment: Business environment; strategy; role of IT; SDLC models; processes and value chain models.

    Business Case Techniques: Innovative problem-solving; information gathering; eliciting requirements; scoping; feasibility and risk; high-level implementation planning.

    Functional Specification Techniques: Use cases; information models & ERDs; interface design principles; wireframes; output design; business rules; requirements validation; and creating test cases.
